December (So Far)

He was born on a snowy day. And when he decided to enter this world, it was done quickly and full of adrenaline (which his parents heartily attest to). And so it was fitting that Ethan chose to celebrate his 6th birthday speeding down a snowy mountain side on a thin piece of plastic. He invited friends and family to join him at the famous "bowl". To keep everyone from freezing their keesters off, he served his guests hot chocolate and doughnuts, after which they sang him a rousing verse of "happy birthday." It was a day full of presents, fun, and frozen fingers. Thanks to all who attended.

On that same day of the party, we retired to our home for soup and a bit of rest before our next event, Maille's Christmas dance recital. Her teacher, the master that she is, put on an incredible and very uplifting version of the nativity. Our little Mai Mai was a little lamb for the shepherds. She leaped, she twirled, she made us laugh.
And so our December continues. We are busy, but very happy. And very blessed.

Ethan sounds like quite the party planner! I'm so glad he had a great birthday and Maille is so cute in her lamb outfit! I also was going to say that I love the photo of the week!
