Tribute to a Lady

A tribute to a lady, who resides at 1280.
What stories she has to tell.
Of tubing fun, scrubbing beets in the sun,
She's original, blazing her own trail.

And what's that you say? It's her birthday today?
Let white cake and ribbon fill the hall.
For the fair lady we adore, shall dance with grace to the floor,
Knowing she is the most loved of all.

It was the a weekend filled with celebration. My mom, Jeannine was swept off her feet to a night of dinner, ballet, gifts & good old fashioned pillow talk. The following morning was filled with orange juice, hot toast and more laughter. Our appointments at the salon were at 11 a.m. and our feet never looked so good. It's not everyday you get to celebrate a woman like Jeannine.

Saturday night we gathered around tables of pasta, salad & soup at my sister's home to enjoy a night with those closest to my mothers heart, her family.
You deserve to be swept off your feet and celebrated whenever possible Mom. The lives you've touched and the rows you have hoed reflect a woman of grit, beauty and nobility.

Happy 70th! What will you think of next?
