Quintessentially German

Put down your laundry, turn off the news, take a deep breath, close your eyes and begin to dream. Dream of a land covered with rolling hills filled with vineyards, orchards and dairy farms. A land that enjoys peace and lavender. It's tastes are authentic and the gems it holds, very real. As you wind your way along the Tauber River you will see a quaint little town surrounded by a city wall, just waiting to be discovered.

Step through the gated tower and take another deep breath as you have entered into the CUTEST LITTLE VILLAGE YOU WILL EVER SEE IN YOUR LIFE! Peeking around every little corner of Rothenburg is a story just waiting to be written. The houses are painted in creamy hues with complimentary trim. The shop windows are decorated with whimsy and lace. Carefully orchestrated flower arrangments are placed on every windowsill, and rod iron signs dangle above head to entice the enchanted travelor to stay, eat, adorn or take home a piece of Germany 'Home Town' .

The next time you wish upon a star, just as Pinocchio did, remember 'Rothenburg ob der Tauber' it waiting for you. The experience will take you back to a time only you knew, only you imaged as a child. It is a dream you will never want to forget.

I'm LOVIN' your virtual tours. Definitely the next best thing to actually being there.

Such lovely pics. The one of the buildings with the older woman in the window is my fav.

Can't wait for the next installment.
